The Strafford Development Review Board (DRB) is a quasi-judicial body comprised of 5 town citizens who are appointed by the Selectboard of the town. The Board reviews applications for property subdivisions, variances from the zoning ordinance, conditional use permits for pieces of property, and handles appeals of decisions made by the Zoning Administrator of the town. Review of development applications is performed to ensure that all development is in accordance with the Subdivision and Zoning Ordinances of Strafford. Meetings are held monthly on the Wednesday following the 3rd Monday of the month at 7 pm at the Town Office. Formal hearings are held after being warned, according to law, in the Valley News, and at various posts in town. All meetings are open to the public. Presently, the members of the Strafford DRB are David Lamb, Stephen Campbell, Terry Garrison, David (Dan) Ruml, and Bonnie Bergeron. Elizabeth Clarke is the clerk of the DRB.
